Klabin suspends work and assembly of Puma II due to the coronavirus
BRAZIL (Staff and wire reports) -- Klabin announced in a filing it will stop contruction work at its Puma II project in southern Brazil due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company says the suspension is temporary and that the project involves about 4,500 professionals. As reported earlier, the Puma II Project was to be divided into two stages. The first involves the construction of a fiber line to produce non-bleached pulp integrated to a kraftliner and white kraftliner paper machine, which will be sold under the Eukaliner brand, with annual capacity of 450 thousand tons.

The second stage entails the construction of a supplementary fiber line integrated to a kraftliner paper machine with annual capacity of 470 thousand tons, and the expansion of a few support structures.

We will bring you more on this as additional information becomes available.
