TENNESSEE (From news reports) -- Smurfit Westrock has notified the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development that it plans to permanently close its Lebanon facility, affecting 52 employees.
According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filed with the state, the closure is scheduled to take effect on Aug. 14, 2026.
The facility is located at 302 Hartmann Drive in Lebanon.
The Northern Middle Local Workforce Development Area rapid response team, operated by Workforce Essentials, has been notified and will work with the company and affected employees to provide assistance and employment services. The Northern Middle Local Workforce Development Board will oversee ongoing Rapid Response and Dislocated Worker services related to the closure.
