BLOOMINGDALE, Ga. (News release) -- Effingham County Fire Rescue says they'll continue to fight a lumber yard fire into the night, this after crews have been there most of Sunday afternoon, Feb. 18.

It happened at Interfor Lumber off Old River Road in Bloomingdale. The sawmill, according to the company's website, supplies products all up the eastern seaboard and overseas through the Port of Savannah.

Fire crews from Rincon, Pooler, Bryan and Bulloch counties assisted Effingham firefighters battling the blaze.
