LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (From news reports) - Multiple fire departments respond to an industrial facility fire in Lowndes County.
Fire Coordinator Jim Robbins said they got called to International Paper off Carson Rd around 7:30 Monday night, September 22.
Industrial Fire & Rescue and Columbus Fire & Rescue assisted Lowndes County Volunteer Fire Department in putting out the flames.
When crews arrived on scene, the fire was in elevated positions.
Officials say outside structures of the facility caught fire.
No fire happened on the inside of the facility.
Firefighters kept the flames from reaching the main building.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
