International Paper confirms coronavirus case at Houston, Miss. facility
HOUSTON, Miss. (From news reports) - International Paper confirmed it had a case of COVID-19 at its container plant in Houston.

A company spokesperson said the unnamed employee is receiving medical treatment.

The company said it identified other workers who may have come in close contact with the employee. They are now in self-quarantine.

The spokesperson said the company cleaned and disinfected affected areas at the plant.

The plant in Houston makes corrugated boxes.

The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has confirmed 15 cases of the coronavirus in Chickasaw County, in which Houston is located, as of April 7. MSDH has confirmed two deaths.
