DS Smith breaks ground in Lebanon, Indiana

LEBANON, Ind. (From news reports) -- London-based DS Smith broke ground Friday in the Lebanon Business Park. Construction will begin in earnest in February, the facility should open in 2020.

The $100 million, 548,000-square-foot facility could employ 160 full-time employees by the end of 2020. The jobs are expected to provide wages above the average for Boone County, according to Molly Whitehead, director of the Boone County Economic Development Corp.
DS Smith operates across 37 countries and employs around 28,000 people. The facility in Lebanon is the first for the business in the United States.
