Crews respond to fire at International Paper in Garden City, Kansas
GARDEN CITY, Kan. (From news reports) - Firefighters rushed to put out a fire at International Paper in Garden City on April 10.

The fire chief said employees were evacuated. He said three of them were evaluated by EMS for smoke inhalation.

The fire chief also said the fire started in a shredder in the building and embers may have traveled up to the "Cyclone" on the roof.

Water was sprayed through the piping between the two machines.

The firefighters checked all areas of the building. They say the wind made firefighting difficult.
