Worker killed after becoming pinned between box trailer and PCA loading dock

HARMAR TOWNSHIP, Pa. (From news reports) -- A man was killed after being pinned between a trailer and a loading dock in Harmar Township on June 7.

Crews were called to the 400 block of Nixon Road around 10:41 a.m.

An accident reconstruction team is also on the scene, according to officials.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office as 64-year-old Samuel Plazio, of Vandergrift.

Homicide detectives and collision reconstruction officers initiated an investigation, according to the Allegheny County police department.

A press release from Packaging Corporation of America said the victim was a third-party contractor.
