Norrskog and Norra Skogsägarna to merge and form new joint association Norra Skog
SWEDEN (News release) -- The forest owners' associations Norrskog and Norra Skogsägarna agreed to merge and form a new joint association under the group name Norra Skog. Norra Timber runs the manufacturing and marketing businesses within the group. The result of the merger is a significantly larger company with considerable production of raw materials from northern Sweden, creating a force to be reckoned with in the market.

Norra Timber's manufacturing family now comprises three respected sawmills in Kåge, Sävar and Hissmofors, not to mention several units for added value products and a unique pole factory.

"This merger now makes Norra Timber by far the largest wood processing company in northern Sweden, with a processing capacity of over 200,000 m3 per year," explains Erik Eliasson, Sales Director at Norra Timber.
