Metsä Group to renew the structure and composition of its Executive Management Team as of 1 July 2025

As of 1 July 2025, Metsä Group's Executive Management Team will consist of the heads of each of the five business areas, the Group EVP, CFO, the EVP, Human Resources, and the EVP, Legal and Compliance. New roles in the Executive Management Team include those of the Group's Chief Operating Officer (COO), EVP, Strategy and Investments, and EVP, Stakeholder Engagement. As previously announced, Jussi Vanhanen will assume his post as President and CEO on the same day.

Jaakko Anttila has been appointed Metsä Group's COO. He has worked at Metsä Group since 2011, most recently as EVP, Metsä Wood.

Wilhelm Wolff has been appointed EVP, Strategy and Investments. Wolff will transfer to Metsä Group from Huhtamäki, where he served as EVP, Strategy and Business Development. He has previously held various positions in strategy and business development at Neste, UPM-Kymmene and Rautaruukki. Wolff will start in his new position on 4 August 2025.

Tomi Salo has been appointed EVP, Stakeholder Engagement. He has worked at Metsä Group since 2019, most recently as SVP, Corporate Affairs.

Juha Pilli-Sihvola will serve as EVP, Metsä Wood (interim) and a member of Metsä Group's Executive Management Team until the appointment of a new EVP.

The members of the Executive Management Team will report to Jussi Vanhanen, President and CEO.

Vanhanen, Metsä Group's incoming President and CEO:
