GE Power & Water, a part of General Electric Company, has announced a distribution agreement with global chemicals company Kemira to bring the latest water technology to the pulp and paper industry.

The partnership will leverage General Electric's advanced water technology, which includes boiler and utility area cooling product technologies as well as membrane cleaning chemistry, the company said. Kemira will provide on-site services along with its expertise in the supply process and water chemical technology. The agreement is expected to bring revolutionary water solutions to the global pulp and paper industry.

A continuous investment in technology and innovation is vital to meet the rising water technology demands of the pulp and paper industry. The alliance will work on a range of solutions, including the fast scale-up of technologies that will help answer the operational needs of the industry and also provide long-term solutions that can support the industry to meet future water requirements.

With this partnership, both companies further extend their support to the pulp and paper industry for which water technology is one of the biggest challenges due to the large amount of water required for production.
