Eric Hanson Named VP Operations for Finch Paper

Glens Falls, NY (News release) - Finch Paper Holdings LLC announced the appointment of Eric Hanson as Vice President of Operations. In this role, Mr. Hanson will maintain the highest level of production standards, underscored by an unwavering commitment to safety and quality, to ensure dependable outcomes for customers. Mr. Hanson will serve on the Finch senior management team led by Drew Gardner, CEO, along with Mike McLarty (VP Sales & Wood Procurement), Barry Chapman (VP of Sales & Marketing), and Tracey Riley (CHRO).

"Eric brings a wealth of experience from mills across the uncoated freesheet space," said Drew Gardner. "Eric knows how to deliver customer-focused results and operational rigor to the Finch organization. We are excited to welcome Eric as he joins Finch in the next chapter of our long-term success, serving the future of paper."

Mr. Hanson will have direct responsibility for 250,000 tons of annual production with world-class safety and quality performance. In his first year with Finch, Mr. Hanson will direct major capital investments including a winder upgrade and pulp mill improvement projects. "Finch's pulp and paper system stands out for its incredibly flexible asset base that manufactures one of the widest uncoated product portfolios in the industry," said Mr. Hanson. Mr. Hanson joins Finch Paper after a long career with Pixelle/Glatfelter where he held various leadership positions in the Spring Grove, Chillicothe, Fremont and Androscoggin mills. More recently, Mr. Hanson was the Manufacturing Director with Graphic Packaging International, managing the Kalamazoo facility. Eric earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine.
