Cenveo to close facility

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota -- Cenveo will reportedly close its Minneapolis facility and eliminate 112 jobs.

According to news reports, Cenveo Corp. will permanently close its commercial printing facility by the end of March, according to a mass layoff warning sent to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.

"Some administrative and other office position will remain operational, but will relocate to a new site," wrote Michelle Anders, regional director of human resources at Stamford, Conn.-based Cenveo. "The operations departments of the facility, including pre-press, press, finishing, warehousing, assembly, fulfillment and mailing will be relocated to other Cenveo locations."

Layoffs could start as soon as 31 Dec 2014.

Cenveo officials reportedly could not be reached for more information.
