BiOrigin Specialty Products Launches Revolutionary New Oil & Grease Resistant Paper

ALPHARETTA, Ga. (News release) -- BiOrigin Specialty Products (BSP), a leading manufacturer and converter of sustainable specialty papers in North America, is launching a revolutionary new oil and grease resistant (OGR) paper. Manufactured with a 100% food-safe, oil and grease-resistant solution that blocks oil and grease from leaking through food service wrappers and bags, BSP's new BioGuard™ paper also promises better efficiencies for OGR paper converters.

"We couldn't be more excited to launch this innovative specialty paper for food service customers," said Wade Kemnitz, BiOrigin Specialty Products' President and Chief Executive Officer. "The new food-safe formula greatly improves converting efficiency by eliminating the paper curling and cracking issues that occurs with other OGR solutions on the market today."

In addition to blocking oil and grease from leaking through food wrappers and bags, the new BioGuard™ OGR paper also delivers significant improvements in reducing visual staining compared to current industry solutions. BSP's new food-safe solution also allows the paper to continue to be recyclable.

"Our focus has always been on finding sustainable product alternatives for customers in our industries," Kemnitz added. "Our BioGuard™ OGR paper is another sustainable solution from BSP that will provide an eco-friendly option for food service companies everywhere."

The new BioGuard™ Paper will be manufactured in the U.S. in BSP's Creative Solutions Network™ of mills throughout the United States and Canada. For more information on BiOrigin Specialty Products, please visit https://www.bioriginsp.com/solutions/ogr-paper/.
