ATLANTA (News release) -- Arauco North America, headquartered in Atlanta, has joined the American Wood Council (AWC).

Arauco is a global producer of wood products supplying pulp, lumber, plywood, composite panels, and molding for architecture, design, construction, packaging and remodeling applications. In North America, Arauco produces composite panels and Thermally fuse laminates (TFL) in its facilities located in Arkansas, Oregon, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ontario and New Brunswick in Canada. The company is also in the process of opening a particleboard facility in Grayling, Michigan. Once completed, the Michigan plant will feature North America's largest single continuous particleboard press.
The American Wood Council (AWC) is the voice of North American wood products manufacturing, an industry that provides almost 450,000 men and women in the United States with family-wage jobs.
