AF&PA Statement on Tax Reform Framework

WASHINGTON, D.C. (News release) - The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) underscored its support for comprehensive tax reform as Congressional and administration leaders unveil their tax plan framework. AF&PA President & CEO Donna Harman issued the following statement:

"Tax reform is taking an important step forward with the announcement by Congressional and administration leadership of a framework for future tax policy. Paper and wood products manufacturers look forward to working with Congress and the administration as they refine the details for tax reform that will promote economic growth, job opportunity, capital investment and competitiveness in our industry. We are 900,000 employees strong in rural and urban communities across 45 states and account for four percent of U.S. manufacturing GDP. Our future grows brighter with tax policy that supports U.S. competitiveness."
