Valmet to acquire valve manufacturer Severn Group for $480 million

Valmet has signed an agreement to acquire industrial valve company Severn Group for $480 million, bolstering its Process Performance Solutions segment with an estimated Euro 215 million in annual net sales. The acquisition covers Severn's three divisions - Severn Glocon, ValvTechnologies, and LB Bentley - which specialize in severe service valve solutions for demanding global industries. The transaction was announced by Valmet.

The deal will increase Valmet's gearing by an estimated 15 percentage points upon completion, which is expected in the Q2 2026, pending customary closing conditions.

Severn employs about 950 people and operates manufacturing sites in the UK, USA, and India.

Valmet, a global technology supplier to process industries, stated the acquisition strengthens its position in mission-critical valve and automation solutions.
