Mikael Palm appointed as new forestry market area manager at Ludvig & Co

Ludvig & Co, based in Sweden, has appointed Mikael Palm as the new manager for its Forestry Market Area. His mission will be to strengthen the company's position as the leading independent business partner for forest owners. Mikael, who most recently served as Head of Business and Operations Development at Stora Enso Skog, assumed his new role on December 9.

Mikael's focus at Ludvig & Co will be to develop the forestry market area by enhancing services for forest owners. This includes areas such as acquisitions, ownership, and transfers to help forest owners maximize the value of their assets. The company's comprehensive range of services, including advisory support in forest economics, generational succession planning, and property brokerage, is designed to meet the complex needs of forest ownership.

"To ensure forest owners get the most out of their ownership, a holistic solution often involving multiple stakeholders is needed. Ludvig & Co has a natural role here, offering a wide range of services in areas like advisory services, succession planning, and real estate brokerage. I look forward to building on this offering and attracting more forest owners," said Mikael Palm.

Mikael, a trained forest engineer with extensive experience in the forestry industry, brings deep knowledge and insight into the challenges and needs of forest owners.

"Mikael Palm has significant experience and expertise in forest business, digitization, communication, and business development. We are delighted that he has accepted this critical role for the country's forest owners," said Peter Calderon, Head of Real Estate Brokerage and Forestry at Ludvig & Co.

For over a century, Ludvig & Co has supported forest owners by assisting with generational transfers, liaising with authorities, managing sales, and providing advisory services. The company's team includes forestry engineers, accountants, and legal experts with decades of experience supporting forest owners.
