Kemira to close some manufacturing lines due to ongoing political strikes in Finland

Kemira's manufacturing lines in Oulu, Äetsä and Harjavaltam, Finland, serving pulp and paper customers will stop production this week. Kemira's Kuusankoski manufacturing site has been shut down already earlier in March. Due to the production shut down some employee's work will also stop. These employees' salary payments will end after seven days.

The long continued political strikes harm significantly the whole of Kemira's value chain's operations and Kemira must adapt the manufacturing operations due to the extraordinary situation.

Kemira is a global leader in sustainable chemical solutions for water-intensive industries.
