Kemira lowers 2026 operative EBITDA outlook to Euro 400-500 million on Iran war cost pressures

Kemira downgraded its 2026 profitability outlook, now expecting operative EBITDA to be between Euro 400 million and Euro 500 million, down from a previous range of Euro 470 million to Euro 570 million, due to raw material and logistics cost increases caused by the prolonged war in Iran, according to Kemira.

The company stated that the conflict has had a larger negative impact on its financial performance during the Q2 than previously expected. Kemira has implemented price increases to mitigate the higher costs, but the impact has come with a delay and has so far been less than estimated due to demand weakness in its key customer industries.

Kemira continues to expect revenue to be between Euro 2,600 million and Euro 3,000 million for the full year 2026.
