Boise Cascade Company announces the promotion of Joanna (Jo) Barney to executive vice president of its Building Materials Distribution (BMD) division, effective February 17, 2025. She will manage more than 40 distribution facilities, including millwork and door shops, across the U.S., according to the company's statement.
Barney has been with Boise Cascade since 2005, previously serving as senior vice president of BMD Western Operations. Her prior roles include general manager of BMD Western Operations and branch manager for the Salt Lake City, Utah location. She holds a bachelor's degree in business finance from the University of Utah and is the founder and executive director of the Utah Avalanche youth soccer club.
Chief Operating Officer Jeff Strom highlighted Barney's leadership and commitment to company values, expressing confidence in her impact. CEO Nate Jorgensen praised her track record in leadership and service, stating she will excel in this expanded role.
