ATLANTA, Georgia -- Veritiv Corporation announced the launch of its new corporate community engagement and philanthropy program, Veritiv Connects. The program will focus corporate giving and employee volunteer efforts on shaping success for local communities while promoting a healthy and vibrant society.

"Our legacy companies had a strong history of supporting important community organizations focused on a range of causes. With Veritiv Connects, we are formalizing our collective passion into a unified program that will allow us to play an active role in helping to improve the quality of life in the communities where we live and work and strengthen our impact as a company," said Veritiv Chairman and CEO Mary Laschinger.

Veritiv Connects has two primary focus areas - Learning, which supports workforce readiness and talent and skills development; and Healthy Living, which supports prosperous, healthy, sustainable and inclusive communities.

In support of the launch of Veritiv Connects, Veritiv also announced the company will partner with the American Red Cross and Junior Achievement (JA), providing in-kind donations, monetary support, and Veritiv volunteer teams.

"On behalf of all Veritiv employees, we look forward to working with these great partners in our efforts to truly make a difference in our local communities," said Laschinger.
