Twin Rivers Paper Company has acquired Potsdam Specialty Paper Inc. (PSPI), a manufacturer of specialty latex, acrylic and saturated base papers, in a move that adds 26,000 tons of annual production capacity. The acquisition integrates PSPI's technical expertise and specialized on-machine capabilities, including latex saturating, nonwoven fiber handling, wet creping and an off-machine coater.
The Potsdam, New York, facility produces engineered papers for tape base, abrasive backer, medical sterilization wraps, wallpaper base and retail packaging applications. Twin Rivers CEO Tyler Rajeski stated that the acquisition adds new papermaking capabilities and aligns with the company's focus on innovation and customer collaboration. PSPI CEO Mike Huth said the Potsdam team is energized by the opportunity to join Twin Rivers and build upon a mutual legacy of papermaking excellence.
