Striking Woodland Pulp mill workers claim they were hit by car | Woodland Pulp, strike,

BAILYVILLE, Maine (From news reports) -- Union members at Woodland Pulp in Baileyville, Maine, who went on strike just a few days ago, claim that two people on the picket line were hit by a vehicle.

It was caught on grainy video from far away, but it looks like a vehicle seems to make contact with at least one person.

The union says a salaried employee at the mill was driving although that hasn't been verified.

The union hasn't said anything about the two employees who they say were hit.

Meanwhile, the two sides will meet at the negotiating table again on November 8. Until then, everyone is looking for a resolution.

"Some of those members that have never been part of those negotiations finally saw what it's all about and how this company is treating their committee," said Dan Loudermilk, a union representative.

"We're disappointed with the fact that this is occurring but we're operational and we're looking forward to meeting with the respective unions on November 8," said Brendan Wolf, with Woodland Pulp, LLC.
