Mondi Syktyvkar holds opening ceremony for Euro 30 million pulp dryer

Mondi Syktyvkar announced this week that it has officially opened its Euro 30 million pulp dryer.

"We are proud of Mondi Syktyvkar's 45 year heritage in the Komi Republic of Russia. Our new pulp dryer project illustrates Mondi's continued commitment to ensuring the success of the mill for years to come," said Peter Orisich, CEO of Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper.

"Our mill keeps progressing and mastering new business activities, as demonstrated by this most recent investment into the installation of the new pulp dryer. This project also creates employment for about 30 people in the mill," said Klaus Peller, Mondi Syktyvkar Managing Director.

Mondi Syktyvkar is a part of Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper. The mill is one of the leaders in pulp and paper industry and the biggest paper producer in Russia. The company's core business is the production of office and offset paper. It also produces newsprint and White Top Kraftliner.
