Felix Schoeller has received the 2026 Pinnacle Award in the "Technology" category for its new photo paper, RubyPaper. The PRINTING United Alliance is recognizing an innovation that seamlessly unites industrial high-speed inkjet production with the aesthetic of classic photo paper - one of 154 entries submitted by 54 companies competing for this year's award.

Engineered for industrial photo production, RubyPaper enables high-quality photo applications - including LayFlat photo prints, photo books and posters - without the need for additional lamination or finishing. The substrate delivers rapid drying, exceptional color fidelity and detail reproduction, and an authentic photo look and feel across both Lustre and Glossy surface finishes. The result is a leaner, more efficient production process.

"Winning the Pinnacle Award validates our commitment to developing product solutions that open up new opportunities for our customers in terms of quality, efficiency and differentiation," said Hadrien Cottin, Vice President of Sales Digital Media Americas. "With RubyPaper, we are bridging the gap between industrial inkjet productivity and the emotional quality of real photography."

Felix Schoeller will present the award-winning photo paper at PRINTING United in Las Vegas, 23-25 September 2026, alongside a broader portfolio spanning photo, digital printing and sublimation papers, as well as release liners.

Material solutions in a real application context
At PRINTING United, Felix Schoeller will present its portfolio within a curated concept store built around the theme of "Urban Cycling". Photo, digital printing and sublimation papers, as well as release liners, will be showcased through concrete, cross-industry application examples. "By presenting our product solutions through real-world applications, visitors can experience the materials first-hand - gaining an immediate impression of the look, feel and effect of our papers," Hadrien Cottin adds.

The specialty paper manufacturer positions material selection as a strategic factor for the print and signage industry. "Our presence at PRINTING United 2026 goes far beyond a showcase of specialty papers," explains Michael Szidat, Chief Executive Officer Americas. "We present solutions in a genuine application context, demonstrating how profoundly material decisions shape the commercial success of our customers."
