STOCKHOLM, Sweden (News release) -- The leading global hygiene and health company Essity Aktiebolag (publ) was listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and the company's Class A and Class B shares have commenced trading.

The listing of Essity is a result of the Annual General Meeting's decision on April 5, 2017 to split the SCA Group into two listed companies: forest products company SCA, and hygiene and health company Essity.

The name Essity stems from the words 'essentials' and 'necessities', a fitting name for the new hygiene and health company that offers products for everyday necessities. Essity develops, produces and sells products and solutions in Personal Care, Consumer Tissue and Professional Hygiene and the vision is; dedicated to improving well-being through leading hygiene and health solutions.
